ABPmer develops asset management plans for Network Rail
We've been commissioned by Network Rail to develop asset management plans for their coastal structures in Kent.
ABPmer was commissioned by Network Rail to develop asset management plans for its coastal structures in Kent.
The asset management plans built on previously prepared high-level option strategies, delivering a roadmap that set out surveys, maintenance and capital investment measures required to manage the seaward aspects of the structures in the short, medium and long term.
Heidi Roberts, Head of Coastal Management and Waterside at ABPmer said; “Asset management planning is key to maintaining integrity but it is only of value when it is based upon sound science. To make the recommendations, we therefore considered Network Rail’s latest asset surveys within the context of the local coastal processes, overtopping and joint probability analysis.
“Our team was supported by ENBE Ltd which provided engineering input to the option and plan development.”
ABPmer is a recognised provider of coastal risk management advice and was part of the design team responsible for the emergency works to reopen the line at Dover last year. To find out more about our coastal management services, contact Heidi Roberts on +44 (0)23 8071 1888.
