ABPmer provides marine consultancy support to organisations around the globe; for 70 years we have been advising clients and undertaking applied research.
Learn moreIn light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we outline to steps we are taking to ensure our colleagues and clients remain safe.
COVID-19 remains a public health issue; in spite the end of legal restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the health and well-being of our colleagues and clients remain of utmost importance.
We are continuing to ensure sensible restrictions are in place to limit the spread of coronavirus and have robust remote access to our corporate systems to provide continuity of service.
Colleagues and visitors are encouraged to wear face coverings in crowded and/or enclosed spaces and vehicles. We respect the personal choice of colleagues and visitors who wear face coverings in other settings where practical.
Our meeting rooms and office space are well ventilated to reduce COVID transmission risk, and we have deployed CO2 monitors to indicate any occurrence of poor ventilation.
Colleagues do not come to the office if they have COVID-19 symptoms, but may work from home if they can and are well enough to do so.
We ask that colleagues and visitors take a lateral flow test (LFT) before attending the office if they have recently experienced any of the primary COVID-19 symptoms (high temperature, new persistent cough, and/or change in sense of smell or taste), or if they have had close contact with a confirmed positive case.
ABPmer colleagues will follow the latest government guidance on coronavirus when visiting client sites. Colleagues will also follow any guidance provided by the client in advance of their visit, where it is reasonable to do so.
It is the personal responsibility of colleagues and visitors to follow best practice to prevent the spread of coronavirus. ABPmer colleagues continue to be subject to the guidance provided by Associated British Ports Group.
If you have any questions about our response to coronavirus, or our contingency planning in general, please contact us on +44 (0)23 8071 1877 or email enquiries@abpmer.co.uk.
