Working from home didn’t stop ABPmer colleagues celebrating World Oceans Day, dressing in blue to mark the important day of awareness.
The concept of a World Oceans Day (WOD) was first proposed at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.
Following a long petition championed by The Ocean Project and World Ocean Network, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in 2008 that officially recognised WOD as 8 June each year.
WOD helps raise the profile of the ocean and inspire more involvement in helping to conserve the precious resource.
