Superyacht Aviva, our temporary neighbour – in numbers
Yesterday morning our usual office view was interrupted with the stealthy arrival of a temporary neighbour, the extremely impressive looking superyacht, Aviva. She was so interesting we decided to add her to our Did You Know series.
Superyachts are a fairly uncommon sight outside our office window so when one does decide to make its way up Southampton Water and moor up, they certainly stand out from the crowd!
Aviva is one of the most striking vessels to take up the superyacht berth in recent years, here are a few facts we’ve discovered about her, in numbers.
One Padel tennis court is built inside the yacht, it measures 20 metres long by ten metres wide with 6.5 metres of headroom!
Three years is the length of time taken to build Aviva by luxury yacht builder, Abeking & Rasmussen
12 guests in six cabins are looked after by a crew of 35
20 knots is her top speed, with a cruising speed of 14 knots
98.4 metres - in length, Aviva is making the 46th longest yacht in the world
4,966 gross tonnes by volume, she is the 30th largest yacht in the world
6,000 nautical miles – is her vast cruising range on one tank of fuel
7,652 horse power is produced from its 2 diesel engines
£113,000,000 is the staggering reported cost of the Aviva
ABPmer has undertaken mooring assessments for new marina developments that have been designed specifically to accommodate the large luxury vessels. Read about our superyacht mooring analysis project for the Government of Gibraltar.
